I swear, I’m convinced that was not a mistake.
I think he misspoke. From knowledge of a failed attempt and/or one that had been planned but foiled.
So, what heathen holiday was this past weekend that needed a human sacrifice.
A lot of those people enjoy seeing failure, even when it’s not there.
