By definition there is something mentally wrong with a person who would murder strangers for reasons none of the rest of us would ever understand.
If they happen to be in therapy, and say: "Hey, doc, I'm thinking of shooting up a public place, and probably getting killed by the cops," then YES, the shrink has a LEGAL OBLIGATION TO CONTACT AUTHORITIES.
By definition, none of those who do the shootings have actually had such a moment (or they WOULD have been turned in).
Lacking such evidence, you can rest assured that leftist psychologists (which is a great many of them) would badly abuse any further power they might be given, just like they have abused their power to pump drugs into millions of children.
Leftists love to have the psychiatric weapon. It was very big in Nazi Germany and in the USSR.

Seriously, the psychiatric profession cannot even predict, inside a mental institution, which patients will attempt suicide.
A lot of what they say they know is phony.
It's true that psychologists can sometimes help people; however: We do not want them to have ANY POWER AT ALL over our lives, and our rights.
Understood, and I’m in agreement that the majority in the field of psychology are leftist frauds. I know this to be true.
Just wondering how a society protects itself from truly mentally unstable people. They are not people I’d want having access to weapons. I’m strictly speaking of the dangerous unstable ones.
