Of course only a small minority of gamers will ever be shooters. But knowledge of whether mass shooters have also been players of violent games prior to their attacks would be useful.
Why?
If video games was the cause, then it should be a common factor among most or all of these shootings.
But it’s not a common factor.
What is a common factor is that not one of these shooters decided that carrying out their planned act was WRONG, and then didn’t proceed. These people do not know the difference between right and wrong, they are lacking any sort of moral foundation.
And for whatever reason, some people cannot govern their emotions, and are instead governed entirely by their emotions, and that is a very dangerous condition, because the emotions of human beings are what allow human beings to murder.
