We stay away from corn, soybean, and other vegetable oils that have moderate to high Omega-6 fats. We do have olive, coconut, and palm oils, as well as butter and ghee.

Keeping our carbs lower is also something we do. We do eat peaches, blueberries, and watermelon, as examples of lower glycemic carbs we do eat.

Linoleic Acid [Omega-6 EFA] is the major EFA, but Americans in particular are far overconsuming it, especially in rancidified form.

I do recommend Hemp Nut [Achene] and Hemp Oil to people. Along with Black Currant Oil, it is virtually unique in being a balanced source of both EFA’s and in the first derivatives of both EFA’s: Gamma-Linolenic Acid [GLA/w6] and Stearidonic Acid [SDA/w3].

As such, it is to some extent a vegetarian alternative to fish oils.

Hemp Nut is also a rich source of high-quality protein, more nutritious and digestible than Soy.
