MK-7 is more effective than MK-4. Read the Nutritional Facts Box * to be sure which is which. 7 is usually about 100 MCG.; 4 is usually about 1000 MCG. 7 is usually labelled as MK-7; 4 is usually labelled as K2.
K2 was long known as Weston Price’s X-Factor, and is the main reason for the emphasis on grass-fed milk and butter being used nowadays.
Other things that mobilize calcium are Boron (Borax in very small doses is an old folk remedy), and the Wulzen Anti-Stiffness (Anti-Arthritis) Factor, which is richest in raw Sugar Cane and raw Shea Butter.
Although sold as a cosmetic item, pure, raw (minimally processed, according to African traditional method) Shea is an edible, though heavy, oil. It has been used as a folk arthritis remedy for centuries, applied to areas of concern.
The benefit is the Wulzen Factor - Stigmasterol - absorbed through the skin. It is destroyed by heat and removed by filtering.
Pasteurized milk, even if from grass-fed cows, will have little if any active Stigmasterol.
Blackstrap Molasses, though heat processed, has some active Wulzen Factor, because it is from raw Sugar Cane, which is 1000 times more concentrated than milk butter fat in Stigmasterol.
* Supplements are regulated by the DSHEA: Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994. Contrary to media lies, supplements are regulated; they are just regulated separately from drugs. To get the accurate, consistent information in order to know what you are buying, go to the Nutritional Facts Box on the back. The name/label on the front of a supplement can vary greatly, brand to brand.
The mouse study was done with Vitamin K2-MK4. However, we take a supplement with both that and MK-7 forms. The MK-7 lasts up to a week in our bodies, while MK4 lasts only hours.
