That picture of Byrd in the KKK outfit is fake.
A quick google would show that.
Dont be like the Left
Doesn't matter if it's fake or not. Was he in the Klan? That's the point. Fake pic, cartoon, hand drawing, whatever. Portray him as he was.
And if you mean fight to win 'like the left', I disagree. It's about time we stopped being proper gentlemen losers.
Now we fight.

Picture fake
Reality true
okay, go tell @inthematrixxx
Yes its obvious the KKK costume is way to modern looking for one of Byrd’s time. Also Byrd is way too old in the picture. He stopped being a KKK’ster when it stopped being politically useful and became a political liability. Byrd was always about what’s best for him!
I have always viewed that picture as symbolic not literal.
Is it untrue that he was a KKK Grand Dragon?
So says Snopes. He was still in the KKK in his 20’s and 30’s. He was a recruiter and rose to become a Kleagle and an Exalted Cyclops. That’s not dabbling in the KKK. That’s taking an active part in the KKK. You don’t just “find” yourself “dabbling” in the Klan. You are born into that ideology by listening to the adults in your life.
From Wikipedia- Robert Byrd
Robert C. Byrd, was a recruiter for the Klan while in his 20s and 30s, rising to the title of Kleagle and Exalted Cyclops of his local chapter. After leaving the group, Byrd spoke in favor of the Klan during his early political career. Though he claimed to have left the organization in 1943, Byrd, wrote a letter in 1946 to the group’s Imperial Wizard stating “The Klan is needed today as never before, and I am anxious to see its rebirth here in West Virginia.” Byrd attempted to explain or defend his former membership in the Klan in his 1958 U.S. Senate campaign when he was 41 years old.[1] Byrd, a Democrat, eventually became his party leader in the Senate. Byrd later said joining the Klan was his “greatest mistake.”[2] However, in a 2001 incident Byrd repeatedly used the phrase “white niggers” on a national television broadcast.[3]
Don’t be like the left and even come close to defending anything regarding that POS, fake pic or not.
