listening to Bill Cunningham while walking the dog -

He reported that the Dayton shooter was thrown out of high school because he had a list of girls he wanted to kill.

He also reported that the shooter told someone that he wanted to tie girls to trees and slit their throats. That person spoke with him at some length about getting help, and the shooter even admitted that he was afraid of those thoughts. That person then went to the police when the shooter never went for help, but the police did nothing.

Not sure where Bill Cunningham got this info.

AH! here it is:

...”Among the first to die was Megan Betts. A male companion was injured.

Many more might have died, officials said, but police patrolling the area saw people fleeing and quickly “neutralized” Connor Betts — he was shot to death — as he was about to enter a bar where dozens of people had run to hide. A bouncer was injured by shrapnel. At least six officers fired at Betts.”

...”But Betts also had been troubled in high school, at one point drawing up a “hit list,” and such incidents, along with his relationship with his sister, will be points of interest for the investigators.”

“...Megan Betts was not the first person to be shot, according to police. But she and the male companion were among the earliest victims, and it appeared they were shot when Connor Betts emerged onto Fifth Street....Midway through Betts’s freshman year at Bellbrook High, the school became aware that he had a list of people, including classmates, whom he wanted to take “revenge” on, said Samantha Thomas, 25, who attended Bellbrook at the same time as Betts.

“It was a list of girls and all of these really pretty vile things that he was going to do to them,” Thomas said. “All the girls were really freaked out. He got kicked out of school for it.”

David Partridge, 26, who also attended Bellbrook with Betts, said the list included a member of his family. Partridge said a friend of his called the Sugarcreek Township police department to alert them to the list, and that officers later pulled Betts off a bus as he was headed to school one morning.

“I watched as they apprehended him,” Partridge said.

Bellbrook High officials could not immediately be reached for comment. Dayton police declined to comment about the list.

Also unknown is the nature of the Betts siblings’ relationship. Megan Betts had spent the past few months as a tour guide helping visitors explore the wilds of Missoula County, Mont., said her former supervisor at the Smokejumpers Visitor Center.”...

Dayton shooting: What we know about the gunman

Seventeen months ago, Moira Cofer Betts stood outside the Dublin Pub in Dayton with her son and daughter.

The three squeezed together, arm in arm, and smiled for a selfie. Betts then posted the photo to Facebook, something she did often. “I’m a very lucky mama,” she wrote in a separate post a month later.

On Sunday, both of Betts’ children were killed about a block from where they’d posed for that photo.

Her son, Connor, 24, was shot to death by police after killing nine people and injuring 27.

Her daughter, Megan, 22, was among the victims shot and killed by her brother.

Betts and her husband, Stephen, got the news within hours of the shooting. Police and FBI agents were at their home Sunday morning in the Dayton suburb of Bellbrook, searching for evidence that could help explain what happened.

“We don’t know the why, we don’t know the whats,” said Bellbrook Police Chief Doug Doherty. “But we do know that there’s a mom and dad down there that are really hurting.”

Connor and Megan drove together to Dayton’s Oregon District, an entertainment area with bars and restaurants, sometime Saturday night. Once there, they went their separate ways, police said.

The shooting started around 1 a.m. Megan was one of the first to die.

Connor did not have a serious criminal record, but some people who knew him said he’d been troubled in the past.

One classmate told The Enquirer Connor had been bullied in high school and responded by making a hit list. “He had a plan to shoot up the high school,” said Laura Wakeley, who attended Bellbrook High School with him.

Wakeley said Connor was kicked out of school after the incident but eventually was allowed to return.

Chris Baker, a former Bellbrook High School principal, was asked about the hit list appearing on a bathroom wall at the school. “I would not dispute that information,” Baker told the Dayton Daily News, declining to comment further.

Connor was a student at Sinclair Community College in Dayton, though he was not enrolled at the school for the summer.

According to his LinkedIn page, Connor’s work history included stints at Chipotle Mexican Grill and a gas station in Centerville, Ohio.
