Good evening everyone. I’m conducting a survey for a research project.
My question is…
Why are we so drawn to responding to obvious/habitual disruptors?
I admit to getting urges as I read some provocative/insulting/lame words and viewpoints, this evening brought tag teams with dangling bait. Yes, in a bar settings my verbal responses likely wouldn’t be inhibited. But this ain’t a bar.
Thinking back on the numerous such exchanges on these threads, it’s difficult to remember many positive outcomes. It’s hard to forget the negative ones.
We have no need to be defensive. We have no need to waste time.
And yes, I appreciated the humor in many exchanges and there are a few that will go down in history. The stress-relieving laughing is therapeutic, but it only treats the symptoms of distraction and gumption traps.
Abuse has been reported (not YOU, you’re little friend). Too much bandwidth has been wasted on that jerk already. Abuse reports are needed to shut his nonsense down....NOW. Don’t feed the trolls.
