The "dinner and movie" dating model is so...well, outdated and cliche.
Dates do not need to involve money. Go on a hike in the woods. Walk along the beach. Go to a museum (many are free). Go to the public library. Or a free outdoor concert that most bigger cities have during the summer.

Great post--those dates are much more enjoyable than the expensive kind.
