I’d need to see it from another source, and haven’t searched, so it may be there, but the Free Beacon hides it’s ownership, is supposedly funded largely by Paul Singer, and did the original contact with Fusion GPS to dig up background information on GOP candidates.
Oh, blast. You made me read it. So it isn’t low levels, it’s Munchkin at Treasury. Pompeo and Bolton prevailed upon the president not to lift sanctions, but lost the argument to the Munchkin at Treasury.
I’m confused about Treasury’s interest in these waivers and I would like to hear the arguments made. Beacon here doesn’t give us any info on why Treasury and POTUS decided to permit adjusting waiver status.
Other than pushing Iran into such a cornered state that lives are endangered from some expected Iranian war action and then an escalation from there?
