I've never seen one look like that though. I've seen monstrances before but they have a traditional look to them. That one seems to be a modern interpretation to my not knowledgeable eyes.

Did anyone else count the pearls in the monstrance Pope Francis is holding?
17 each in the upper 2 quadrants. Probably the same in the lower 2. 17 = Q
Plus the symbol on his vestments is the pedo symbol FLIPPED.
It's either everywhere or nowhere.
