Good question!

I take one Solaray Nettle Root Extract Supplement (300mg, 60 Count bottle) capsule and 1/6 of a tablet of Source Naturals Mega Strength Beta Sitosterol (120 Tablets) a day, specifically for that condition. I take only 1/6 of the beta-sitosterol because a study I found pointed to little benefit for exceeding that amount and I err on the conservative side when I have a choice. These really helped me within two weeks. By the way, that is the cheapest way to get beta-sitosterol and it was approved by Consumer Lab as that, too.

I was already taking triple-strength Omega-3 fish oil, melatonin, and making sure I got some amount of what this author culled from a lot of studies (years before this article).

One more thing I just started taking to see if it could substitute or provide any further help is Calcium D-Glucarate. It appears to help men get rid of a bit of estrogen, to help normalize the balance of testosterone to estrogen. This study points to why that could be useful for BPH.

I just started taking this a week and a half ago, so I can’t say I’ve seen a big difference, but where I should take three a day, I’m only taking one, now. I can say it seems like it’s just a little better than it was even before, but I need to up it to really know.
