NOT TRUE!!!
Oh Boy! I get to correct Q!
Apparently he/she/it has never actually read the Constitution!
Well he/she/it is fictional how could he/she/it!
Impeachment is done by the House and done with a simple majority. Please tell the Q-arcle to read Article One Section Two Clause Five of the United States Constitution.
Impeachment is a political act. A simple majority will do! You can argue about the “high crimes & misdemeanors” later! Then tried in the Senate with the Chief Justice of the USSC presiding. 2/3 need for conviction & removal !
Apparently Q-arcle wasn’t around to watch the process where Slick get nailed with the “Scarlett I”. He was acquitted despite the histrionic statements drama uttered by certain Senators who went and looked at the “special evidence” (Should have been made public!) in the House or Senate building. ( I can’t remember which & I am too lazy to look it up. Let’s ask Q!)
I will agree with the rest of the Q-ism!
All the Rats want to do is paint Trump with the same “I” that slick got painted with. “Tit for Tat” petty revenge!
They will claim an equivalency of Slick & Trump. It might revive the Hellary camping corpse! At least some hope so! And I have been saying this was likely to happen since the House was lost in 2018. ( Oh It was safe aka Q! Safe but Lost! it is a puzzlement!) Since I said it way maybe I’m Q?
Or maybe you're retarted.
Who's to say?
Shut up troll
The proceedings unfold in the form of a trial, with each side having the right to call witnesses and perform cross-examinations. The House members, who are given the collective title of managers during the course of the trial, present the prosecution case, and the impeached official has the right to mount a defense with his or her own attorneys as well. Senators must also take an oath or affirmation that they will perform their duties honestly and with due diligence. After hearing the charges, the Senate usually deliberates in private. The Constitution requires a two-thirds super majority to convict a person being impeached. The Senate enters judgment on its decision, whether that be to convict or acquit, and a copy of the judgment is filed with the Secretary of State. Upon conviction in the Senate, the official is automatically removed from office and may also be barred from holding future office. The trial is not an actual criminal proceeding and more closely resembles a civil service termination appeal in terms of the contemplated deprivation. Therefore, the removed official may still be liable to criminal prosecution under a subsequent criminal proceeding. The President may not grant a pardon in the impeachment case, but may in any resulting Federal criminal case.
