My dentist handed me a photo to use on his website from some brochure he got. I told him there might be copyright issues. He wasn’t worried. Turned out to be much worse. It was the instigation for what the dentist discovered to be numbers of copyright suits across the country done as a moneymaking business of its own. Big money. That’s one web scam. And probably what the article is worrying about.
My vet was temporarily closed down by the hacking of his database for ransom. Not asking a large amount. Probably just asking small amounts from a lot of small businesses.
