Yeah, I like it. I've had it 9 years. Considering what wood would have cost me, plus the electric/propane savings for heat it certainly has paid for itself.
But even if it didn't pay for itself it's nice to have. I didn't like wood splitting with a maul at 60. I sure don't at 70. But I still have my maul just in case.
My brother is close to 70. He still uses the maul.
Forgot to add, he is a little weird. I dont like mauling logs either but it gives me a little pride when I am done. Electric splitter designs sound like a fun project.
