Around here if you have the baby on Monday you go home on Monday. You don’t get to treat the hospital like a spa for resting. I had my baby just after 6am. About 10 am a nurse came in my room and said...get ready to go home! By 11 I was out. Must be nice to be able to lounge around and be waited on for days.

I think you get a little longer here if the mother is older (Chelsea would qualify), and/or if the pregnancy was complicated or C-section delivery. Health insurance plans have details as to what is covered, stay lengths, etc.

Since the Clintons have plenty of money, there is probably no concern about the costs for a couple more days.

Just another photo op for Hillary. No real need for her to show up for the event other than her insatiable need for attention and being in the spotlight. The Clintons like to think of themselves as American Royalty. So just as there are photos of the British princes and their wives and newborns exiting the hospital, so there are photos of Chelsea leaving the hospital with her newborn, all with hordes of paparazzi who were no doubt informed of the photo op ahead of time.
Well, at least Chelsea didn’t abort her babies. Although she is totally pro-abortion for other people’s babies.

My d-i-l also had a child on Monday. Born at 10:14 a.m; they were home from the hospital by 4:00 p.m. the following day. Obviously, Chelsea is a wimp.
