It has been said, by the village elders, that there are monsters beyond the trees. And yet I have travelled outside, and almost always have returned unscathed.
Yet, on this night, my luck was changed. I have seen a thing. A thing so indescribably horrible that I can scarce believe it, even now.
I thought at once that I would be turned to stone, and for a moment I was. I couldn't move to flee. My mouth opened to scream but no sound came. And then, like a feral animal confronted by a predator, I flew like the wind, branches tearing at my flesh, not daring to look back lest I see that the beasts pursued.
With my last strength, I burst through the trees and arrived in the bosom of my sanctuary. My safe space. It will be long before I tarry beyond the tree line.
I have these few words for you, O my brothers and sisters. Do. Not. Go. Beyond. The. Trees.
There ARE monsters.

Trump: “But, I have heard the same thing about the fake dossier, I’ve heard it came out of Russia, I think a lot of it also was made up...like you’d write a novel, but it was a fake, and it was paid for by the Democrats and paid for by Hillary Clinton and the DNC... Nobody would write a novel like this because people wouldn’t believe it, it wouldn’t be believable”

Hannity: “Why is it important to get to the bottom of this, from your perspective?”
Trump: “Because this should never happen to another President of the United States again. This is [an] absolute catastrophe for our country. ... This was treason, this was high crimes...”

Trump comments on the press and explains how and why they can be the “enemy of the people”, and he comments on the special counsel, including this quote “The media is actually talking about ‘investigate the investigators’, and a lot more than that... I just see it, I feel it, I think a lot of good is going to come out of it. We went through hell, a lot of people went through hell... [the special counsel] went after them viciously and violently...”
Hannity asks about the president’s power to pardon. Trump comments about some pardons he’s given, and at the end...
Trump: “I think there’s a whole new day starting...I used to use and I still use ‘drain the swamp’. We have some very, very bad people in government that would be willing to do very bad things and for bad reasons. So, I don’t mention pardon, but you know, I don’t say what’s gonna happen in the future, I just don’t comment on it”

Hannity asks about some of the players in the coup including Comey, who lied. “What are your thoughts about these people today?
Trump: “Well, Comey is a liar and a leaker, and that’s obvious, and all you have to do is just follow him along and see what he said to congress. Clapper and Brennan and all of these people, McCabe, these are bad people. My opinion, they’re very bad people. They’ve been very bad for the country. They were, I used to think incompetent, but they’re really, I guess, competent at other things and maybe, maybe bad things”.
“We’ll see what happens...I guess a lot of things are coming out and it’s going to be very interesting, and it will be great to clean up a real big mess, because again, it can never happen, this can never be allowed to happen again, Sean”.
