If she tried to answer the question negatively, would previous statements she has made surface to show a sudden reversal?
Both of those would need an honest answer of yes for the first and no for the second for her to have a point.
So contrary to your assertion she isn’t being unfairly harried, she is just cold busted.
I think she's reprehensible, but if we're going to be consistent, she's got a point. Here's what she said in her answer:
You can look up my record. I've voted for bills doing exactly what you are asking me to do.
I checked it out, and it's true. She did vote for a bill in Minnesota that did just that.
This is a trick they pull on Republicans (almost exclusively) all the time. It's not about the denial -- it is about associating their name with the question. It's asking Trump about David Duke multiple times, or racism, etc.. No matter how many times he says he's against it, they keep asking simply because they want to put his name and those words in the same sentence.
