The lights were thought to be the klieg lights spots on the smoke from the fireworks.

IMO. A stealh bomber with running lights that can be spotted in the dark and photographed isn’t very stealthy. :^)

Yup...I’ve watched a lot of fireworks in my life and those were bits of smoke from spent fireworks. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.
