However you have forgotten about the daily news broadcasts showing starving Somalians - particularly children. The constant drumbeat by the Congressional Black Caucus playing the race card - Bush & Republicans are racists ! Here’s proof! In those days Republicans would immolate themselves to avoid being called racist! Particularly when the media was turning it into a “Republicans-Are-Racists” feeding frenzy. Which they were doing! Bush panicked! Of course he was probably told if he didn’t do it he would cost the GOP seats in the Senate & the House. I think any Republican of that era would have done the same. Today the “Race Card” is max’ed out! In fact those who try it have reached a point where they are laughed at and look pathetically desperate. Also we have a President who when they try brings out his pictures and awards from Jesse Jackson & Al Sharpton. Its a different political world today!

Get mad at the NGOs (primarily Catholic & Lutheran charities) that dumped these illiterate probably khat-addicted goat herders in Minnesota with no supervision or guarantees as to whose responsible for their behavior. I’ve heard this only anecdotally so I can’t say if it’s accurate or not - but supposedly even in Islam, Somalis are regarded as low IQ trailer trash, literally and figuratively.
They’re supposedly a step even below Palestinians, a group that the rest of Islam pays lip service to.
