Trying to address a symptom by forcing the problem on someone else, not solving it. Involuntary commitment and treatment for the mentally ill and chemically dependent. Temporary housing/shelter and job training & placement for others. Not an option: allowing the homeless to live, eat, urinate, defecate, masturbate, get high, infect or be infected, and create mountains of trash on the street.
