I’m too tired to look up links right now, but I heard on radio and read that the government had closed some program for refugees to bring in a number of their immediate family. It had mostly been abused by Somalis. What happened with Omar’s family is that her family wasn’t granted refugee status, so another family granted status here took in her, one of her sisters, and her father. So they changed their name. The rest of of her family were “adopted by a family that was granted status in England.

Did they mention why they were denied status. A couple of days ago the term “war lord” was dropped but don’t remember if it was pertaining to her father or not.
