I don’t believe in collective guilt at all. But I believe guilt is a wrong concept to apply in such a situation. This concept does not belong to a total war. It was a war of extermination started by the Germans and people killing German grannies and babies didn’t do a good thing but they aren’t guilty in anything. It was both a right and duty of a victor to kill them in such a war. Once again the Germans allowed to exist was an ultimate act of humanism by the mankind so they do better shut up and forget minor infractions.

The war was over....and deliberately killing civilians is awful. Its bad enough when its a military necessity like the massive bombing raids on cities that was the norm in WWII - but when the war is over and when it has utterly no military value? That's a crime against humanity.

“” “” but when the war is over and when it has utterly no military value? “” “”

Snowflake? The Germans deliberately killed 20 million civilians in USSR alone. They killed off a large part of the population of Poland. They killed one out of four civilians in Belarus. All done by regular Germans troops composed of enlisted men out of the German civilian population. A German population which supported all the atrocities. Nothing done to the Germans during or after the war accounts even for 1% of German atrocities. How could Czech know killing the Germans weren’t of military value? They didn’t want Germans to stay alive and come back to haunt them a short time later. It is just natural and nothing wrong with this.
Once again you lack the understanding of total war probably because you and yours weren’t ever a part of it.
