My friends not far away in the Bahamas have a 7,000 gallon cistern under their house. The rain runs off the roof into gutters and down into the cistern.
Nothing but downspouts down the sides of the house are visible.
Granted. I’ll buy that for the ‘built up’ point on the island where the main house appears to be.
Why is the rest of the island desolate?
There don’t appear to be any sort of catchment or drainage systems there to save water.
Supposedly 75 acres or so for this island. And it looks like a DMZ for the most part.
Hmm, now I’m wondering about electricity. Are there lot of solar panels on the buildings on the island? Surely generators would not be main source, they require fuel, are noisy etc.
