R. Paul imho is grandstanding (as he often does). He should pick on some other spending which is less worthy. There is plenty of spending which is much less worthy, and even worthless to outright harmful.

I concur with your observation ^.
Despite that, it seems that the 80-90 years of financial commitment proposed by this bill is excessive.
Granted, 1) I have not read the bill, nor am I likely to read it; 2) I agree with assisting the individuals and their families who were directly affected by 9-11.
However, 80-90 years of assistance from current(?) day puts that between 2099 and 2109. Even if a child of a person affected by this atrocious act were born following 9-11-01, I am thinking that his/her possible life-span would most likely not be anywhere near 98-108 years of age.
Perhaps I am wrong. Please enlighten me.
