Same deal in rural AZ. Bad back to the point I can't walk 100 yds without having to sit down. A trip to the VA in NV resulted in an application for a handicapped hanger.
Only problem the application wasn't accepted in AZ. The clerk "Sara" faxed the right one to my doc, who filled it out and faxed it back. The clerk called me up when it arrived.
Went down to pick it up and there's about 10 people ahead of me. She recognized me, called me over and gave me the hanger. WAY above what you'd expect from a state worker.
AZ has a pretty good online system.
You can do a lot of typical stuff like renew registration etc.
They’re even transitioning to a new website where you can transfer a title, print 30 day or 3 day tags and such.
Also if you select a specific branch they’ll give you an estimated wait time.
I still go to a smaller town whenever I have to actually go there in person. Never had to fire shots!
