Well, the producers of the 007 films have jumped the shark as far as I am concerned and my thinks the box office will crash when 'she' hits the screen--

Basically, the 007 franchise is played out. The last 007 I saw,
Spectre was nothing but special effects and titillation. Two dimensional plastic characters in search of any plausible story line. The traditional 007 was never noted for subtlety or nuance or much in the way of a story. But it offered interesting (if completely implausible) situations, attractive characters, and bigger than life villains and black and white moral conflict, good versus evil. It made the audience willingly suspend disbelief.
I don't care about the sex or race of the character. I want an intriguing story, eye-catching action scenes, sexy supporting characters, engaging flirtation, and a sense of good conquering evil.

But Ash Williams will always be Ash Williams, baby.

Just checked the history of Bond films.
Soaring budgets, declining domestic receipts, foreign box office making the money.
They’ve written off the US market.
It’s a choice.

No thank you. I’ll skip this movie. I refuse to support liberal nonsense. James Bond is..well..male.

Bond always gets the girl. I'm sure she will too.

And Hollywood wonders why they have so many flops. But it feels good to make it.

Apparently there was a recent 007 edition called Spectre. I never heard of it but it grossed a billion dollars worldwide.
Doubt its going to die that way.

Obviously the producers learned absolutely nothing from the XX-Chromosome version of “Ghostbusters”

That’s what I was going to point out, too.

Most of that money was not from the US. Spectre did worse than Skyfall in the US.

It kinda removes the reason for watching. It cuts out the core.
At my age, I no longer watch movies for special effects or T&A. I need a story. I actually liked the James Bond story. This won’t have James Bond in it. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but it means it is not a James Bond movie. It’s something else. And that something else means it’s “just another movie” that needs to give me a reason to watch. I have no reason to watch another Tomb raider.
