Real proper Class 8 Stupid (the sort than can threaten survival of a species or a planet) doesn’t come cheap.
BTW: per the Richter Scale Class that inspired it (where each tick up the scale is vastly worse than the last) a Class 9 Stupid could threaten all life within a proverbial United Federation of Planets where a Class 10 Stupid might threaten all life, everywhere.
Essentially, the “modern/postmodern/what the hell now?” Left has maxed out their Stupid, for humanity lacks the wherewithal to get much more Stupid than the 8.6 I’ve jokingly pegged them at.
