The singer-actress whose real name is Stefani Germanotta made waves in the music industry with her 2008 debut album and went bankrupt in 2011. She was able to get out of the slump thanks to the popularity of her work
Lady Gaga has it all. This year the singer-turned-actress won three Grammys, two for 'Shallow' and one for 'Joanne,' and besides that, the 32-year-old also won an Oscar for Best Original Song, and was nominated for Best Actress for her role in 'A Star Is Born,' at the Academy Awards. Her total awards tally is up to nine Grammys till now and yet one does find it hard to believe that the popular singer could have ever been in the red.
The singer herself had a hard time believing it.
The singer-actress whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, made waves in the music industry with her 2008 debut album 'The Fame.' Ever since, the New York native has sold more than 11 million albums.
However, the 'Mother Monster' as she was called, went bankrupt after 'The Monster Ball.'
"I actually went bankrupt after the first extension of The Monster Ball," she told the Financial Times, referring to her second worldwide concert tour, which ran from 2009 to 2011. And it was funny because I didnt know! And I remember I called everybody and said, Why is everyone saying I have no money? This is ridiculous, I have five No. 1 singles. And they said, Well, youre $3 million in debt."
That did not deter Lady Gaga who was able to get out of the situation because of her immense popularity. According to Forbes, Gaga had already earned $50 million in July 2018.
Telling the publication that pursuing music has never been about the money, she said: "The beauty for me about being an artist is that the dream will never die, because Im not obsessed with material things and dont care about the money and dont care about the attention of the public, but only the love of my fans, so for me its about how much more devoted, how much better an artist can I become."
In short, she added, "Its honestly true that money means nothing to me."
Is it just me or does Biden have some weird looking eyes in that pic? One looks all squinty and the other looks normal.
Weird.
He looks like a stroke victim.
She looks like a department store mannequin.
Whatever.
There is one scene in “A Star is Born” where they do a close up of her, and I could have swore she was cross-eyed.
Maybe it was just the angle, but I couldn’t believe it made it through editing room.
But she can sing. Of course good singers are a dime a dozen. She became famous through the gay crowds first, and then the media and accolades followed.
One good turn deserves another. :P http://313merch.com/blog/lady-caca-t-shirt-i-knew-she-was-a-piece-of-shit/
They all look a little old for Gropin’ Joe.
A decent person who massively promotes homosexual perversion to little children, middle-schoolers, tweens and teens. Yah.
Watch a lot of Ga Ga do ya?
That must have been her Babs tribute.
I noticed the sales were in a very young demographic --- something like 80% under the age of 20.
Then I viewed her official trailer on YouTube and saw it had --- over TWO HUNDRED MILLION VIEWS. (More now.) Many, many adoring comments from kids.
Then I began looking into the cover versions, just on YouTube. Hundreds of them. Heck, I don't know, maybe thousands of them. All over the video-world. All VERY young. One head-turner was young Maria Aragon, age 10, whose cover of "Born This Way" has had --- all by itself --- over 58 million views.
Queer Your Children.
As Laura Ingraham would say, Biden looks like he should be in a Visiting Angels commercial.
It is always nice to read about the misfortunes of leftists.
JoMa
Exactly right!
Where is Joe Pro Bono’s left hand?
Her persona is that of a mindless singer. In reality, everything Ive read about her off stage life indicates she is a decent person.
Saw a documentary also that focused on her and family. Very normal and caring. A great performer who is said to have done the absurd to get attention to be able to show her real singing skills ala collaboration with Tony Bennett
No saint in many other regards but as a singer very good once you get over the theatrics.
Surprising also how many of these superstars have real phobias . Cher as an example also.
