What kind of pup and how old is the new pup? How old is the old dog? Can you get the pup in puppy class? Probably one of the most valuable classes you can give your puppy. We did Fear Free training with our new pup. He’s a snowflake lol. He’s 1 1/2. We also have a 3 yr/o yellow lab with neurological deficits and some brain damage. We spent 6 weeks in dog training class with him barking the entire time. Then when it came to the test, he out performed the puppy lol. Go figure. Before we got the yellow lab, we had a 5 yr/o yellow lab who died. The puppy was pretty relentless, so puppy wore a harness and leash. But good classes are your best friend no matter how experienced we are as dog owners.
