My thought is that, if there is a rouge sub, it has been taken care of. And yes. Subs have horizontal launch capability.

If you remember the (almost) final scene in Red October, under the surface, there were three engaged in the battle. But on the surface, everyone thought there were only two. And the one that isn’t coming back is the one no one knew was there.

I would keep an eye on American boats coming back to San Diego or Pearl Harbor (my home port). Maybe watch the news for a sub returning with minor damage or one coming home from ‘deployment’.

I have a story that is somewhat relatable. We were at sea with little warning, gone for two weeks and came home as if nothing was habbening. Far from the truth and still not declassed. So, sorry for the lack of details.
