..4h...The Commander-in-Chief apologized to US troops at Osan Air Base for being 2½ hours late, but he had a "great meeting" with Kim Jong Un and stepped briefly into North Korea. Said He was sure US forces would understand.

Pres Trump called @SecPompeo and @IvankaTrump to the stage to address the troops. Referred to them as "beauty and the beast" as they approached.

Would make an intriguing book or novel? A foreign leader tricks an American president to cross over the border into a rogue or hostile nation, then arrests him for a visa violation & holds US hostage for his/her return. (Or rescue. Or escape). Just thinking out loud.

“You’re the first U.S. president to cross this line,” Kim Jong Un says when President Trump steps into North Korea.

“This has a lot of significance because it means that we want to bring an end to the unpleasant past and try to create a new future, so it’s a very courageous and determined act,” Kim Jong Un said at handshake greeting.

“I think meeting here, two countries that have a hostile past, we are showcasing to the world that we have a new present and we have a positive meeting going forward,” said Kim Jong Un after the historic handshake.
