No, things didn’t seem right while I was watching a hockey game, so I closed one eye, and looked, and then the other, and realized I couldn’t really see out of it. At first I just thought my script needed updating, although I found it hard to see how one eye couldn’t see and the other still seemed sharp with my script at the time.At that point my script was about two years old, and I had a eye doctor appt scheduled in 3 months, so I just waited till that time at which point my Dr informed me I had an issue and it needed to be operated on.
I had the op on March 14 this year on my retina. There has been minor improvement, but I am still legally blind in it. They say the retina takes a long time to heal, so I may still get a little more improvement. Thank you for the kind thoughts.
Sounds like it came on rather sudden.
So sorry you’re having to deal with this....praying the healing continues, and your eyesight in that eye, improves greatly.
We have a friend who had a detached retina. At first they thought he wouldn’t need surgery (had to get a shot in his eye). It worked, temporarily....but....that didn’t last, it detached again. So, he had to have surgery to repair.
