I can ask the same question.
The dear friend that was coming over to visit last Mon. finally made it over.
She had some very sad news about her sister who is a couple of years older than us.
She needed to be able to discuss it with someone and I'm glad I was able to be a listening ear.
Awwww, so glad you were able to be a listener, for your dear friend.
Reminds me of a sweet story, from a few years back. A youngster would go visit his elderly, recently widowed neighbor and they would sit for quite a long while on the neighbors front porch.
The mom asked her son what he and Mr Smith would talk about for so long.
The son replied, Oh, I don’t really talk too much. I just mostly listen.
