Lot of people are selling plants through Etsy. Its big business now. College students are big in plants trading.
Last week bought damaged pot of Philodendron plant from Walmart , cost me $2.49. That small pot actually contains three rare very expensive variety. That was my jackpot. Now I am taking care of that pot. All three varieties will survive. If I had bought them separately from online shops or Nurseries, it would have cost me $50+. Even local nurseries don’t carry these varieties. People buy them online.
My grandparents lived in San Leandro and had a huge corner lot, during the depression and war. My grandfather took the ferry every day to San Francisco to work for Dole Pineapple, a manager at the pier. My grandmother built up a huge nursery business at home, had a greenhouse and outdoor plants. When my grandfather retired, they sold that nursery and were able to purchase a good sized ranch between Pleasanton and Livermore, with vineyards and sheep. So plants is a very good business.
