It is my favorite hymn. I was so pleased that they sang it.
My very favorite line is “Oh, be swift, my soul, to answer Him! be jubilant, my feet.”
They didn’t do that verse, but I was astounded that they sang the verse explicitly mentioning Christ. So incredibly moving and I am so grateful.
Yes—when the chorus sang:
“As He died to make men holy, let us die to make men FREE!
Our God is marching on!”
...was a very moving moment.
Any liberals watching were probably having a conniption!
“He has sounded forth the trumpet that shall never call retreat
He is sifting out the hearts of men before His judgment-seat
Oh, be swift, my soul, to answer Him! Be jubilant, my feet!
Our God is marching”
“Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Our God is marching on”
.... I was astounded that they sang the verse explicitly mentioning Christ. So incredibly moving and I am so grateful....
Same here...and, amen!
