Back in the ‘70’s before Willie was THE Willie he would play at a night/dance/club in Phoenix.
We were used to sitting and listening when someone was performing, he stopped the music and said folks I want you to get out there and dance or I can’t sing.
He was very nice.
BTW he had short hair back then and we met his sister who was also very nice.
