Same here.
The city has 250 or so inhabitants but manages to have a parade and fireworks also, bless them!
but locals out do that LOL!

It’s a great Day- maybe the finest in history.

The tiny town of Pekin, Indiana. (Down near Nikk) claims to have the longest established celebration in the nation without any breaks during wars etc. People come for miles to be in their parade and watch it. It is close to Corydon our first state capital. Its in Harrison county named after William Henry. He once owned much of the land in that area. Many families date back to revolutionary times because the government gave them land on the frontier for their service to our new country!

How many Deplorabes remember those days when kids everywhere dressed their bicycles up with American flags
and red, white, and blue streamers the night of July 3d to be ready to ride in the Independence Day parade?

That's back in ancient times when even some democrats were patriotic.
