YOu’d think that after living here for two years with no running water and no electricity, I wouldn’t have the first world problem of worrying how to get water out of the well! Hell, just having a well is pure-d luxury!

I agree - having one’s own well is excellent. We had no electricity for the first couple of years but ran the well pump with a generator and stored in a water tank, and used a 12 volt pump to get it to the house. Before the well was drilled, we had to fill 5 gallon bottles of water here and there.
