Back to power for a bit.
Doing without electricity for some, is not an option.

CPAP machines, medications that need to be kept cold,
or even frozen, communications and/or security equipment
to keep online, mobility equipment to recharge, etc.

To seriously consider keeping such things going for a couple
weeks or more without the mains, involves trade offs between
expense, noise that might attract unwanted guests,
applicability of potential alternative power sources and
power storage capacity and efficiency.

Lead acid batteries recharge slowly and inefficiently,
should normally be discharged only halfway, and are very
heavy. LiFePo4 batteries can be discharged 80-90%, recharge
much faster and much more efficiently, last much longer
(more cycles) weigh 1/3rd as much, but cost a lot more.

If you want to do some not grid tied stealth wind/solar
solution to keep a Dometic Freezer running or that oxygen
concentrator pumping, in a quality fashion, check out
BattleBorn batteries and the chargers they offer, and
Victron Energy controllers and pure sine wave inverters.
$$$$

It can be done for less, but with trade offs.

a quick and cheap though temporary tap for electricity is a converter that you put into the lighter/charger in your car and run an extension into the house -

Power Inverter

The downside is you have to leave the car running, but you can charge your phone, use a light, run a sump pump, etc.

I have found that I can run a light, but not the cofefve machine. The old Mr. Coffee machine was then called into play, just using a plain drip function, not plugged in, water boiled in the fireplace ...
