I also find reading about Ernest Shackleton to be uplifting. Talk about a man, a leader, a survivor who lived WWG1WGA! The voyage of the Endurance is epic.

If men can survive such an ordeal and endure in good spirit, I can soldier on!

ThankQ for reminding me about Shackleton. I listened to a brief overview of Shackleton’s stunning leadership and the adventures they went through and was completely on-the-edge-of-my-seat throughout. I fully intended to pounce on the book but “life happened” and I’d forgotten about it. With your helpful recommend, I will make haste to buy a copy.
Your ability to clearly articulate your mental readiness with spirit is uplifting in it’s own right. You gotta bottle that stuff because those who are caught off guard by some of this can be encouraged by your well-said determination.
Honored. High praise coming from the Mother of Dragons!
You both might enjoy “Chasing Shackelton” if you have not seen it. PBS aired it in 2014, some men try to recreate the voyage.
