That place has long been a mystery to me. Their artwork, burial practices etc. Can’t figure out why they were there. Obsessed with death or maybe just dead bodies. They buried their dead inside the houses, under their sitting places, it was like some weird mausoleum. Creepy people. I wonder what their DNA was? Originally from where?

There was a sort of temple district apparently, which just wound up being the first area excavated -- although, Mellaart was principal excavator there, and he was a fantasy merchant.
