For a historical figure, I would choose Barry Goldwater. We could meet in Kanab, Utah at Nedra's Cafe, a favorite eatery of his, for chile verde and Navajo tacos.

I would also enjoy having lunch with Richard Nixon at his favorite restaurant, El Adobe in San Juan Capistrano, Calif. The menu still features "The President's Choice"--a combination meal featuring a beef taco, a chile relleno and an enchilada with rice and beans.

My father donated $10,000 to Barry’s campaign in 1964.

When I read “Navajo taco” I had a Pavlovian response. Been a long time since I have had that treat. Good memories.
