and Proverbs 31 and Debra the judge and half of human history in many diverse places where conditions often forced poor men and poor women just to do what they could to survive...often women out in the fields with the men just to get the crops in. The Satan part comes in when he would do what he could to disrupt family harmony, in the context of the social constructs of the era. Adultery, slough, drunkeness and bitterness, those are the family killers, extant through-out history that Satan has employed.

Yes, that’s exactly what I was talking about. And that’s why feminists flooded into the workplace in postwar America.

[[The Satan part comes in when he would do what he could to disrupt family harmony, ]]

The Satan part also comes in when the woman neglects her household in favor of job- but the plain fact is a woman can do both, run a household, AND work outside the home and not be out of God’s will doing so as We’ve seen in many cases in the bible- one of which you mentioned- nowhere in the bible does God forbid women working-

Part of a woman working outside the home IS to help provide a better life for their children and family- Many times, it is necessary for women to work outside the home because income does not provide enough for a decent living in the home with just one income- and sometimes women are single and are forced to work to provide the sole income- Certainly that can not be considered Satanic- If the bible forbade women working outside the home, then single mothers would have no hope of raising their family- and the children would have to go to foster care-

The objector might respond- But she can work the fields to provide for her children- but aha- we’re talking about ‘working outside the home’ here as well- The objectors apparently think the woman must be present with children 24-7 in the home only in order to raise her family in a biblical manner- working and slaving over a hot stove, doing laundry, cleaning hte home non stop- Well women are capable of all that PLUS doing jobs outside the home to help provide a better future for their family- Just because she helps or is sole provider does not mean she is neglecting her home duties- it’s not a ‘one or none’ type issue.

Also- how about when a husband becomes disabled? Let’s say he becomes a cripple- can’t move, can’t take care of his family- What then? Some apparent think it’s a ‘Satanic Notion’ for the woman to consider going to work- because apparently ‘A Woman’s place is in the home’.
