We still listen to Rush, but with a grain of salt. When he thinks he has to explain Trump to his audience, I grrrrr a little bit. He still doesn’t get him, not like the Deplorables do. Unlike Rush, Trump is not trying to appeal to his audience, he’s trying to save our country.
Rush did take a few swipes at Trump in the primaries - I recall emailing him a few times. He seemed to be favoring Rubio or Cruz. Rush jumped on with the president later, as have many others.
I compare former anti-Trumpers to former smokers. They become some of the best advocates for their new positions because they see their error. IIRC, there are some very pro-Trump people who didn’t start out that way. Levin, Katie Pavlich, Greg Gutfeld, Greg Jarrett, so name a few. I would say Glenn Beck, but he’s still a little crazy and I think he cheered on that Republican Amash? who called for impeachment.
I don’t think Rush was anti-Trump as much as he was skeptical and came on board late.
He is still pompous. I appreciate his part in Making America Great Again but don't bother listening any more.
