It doesn’t seem possible that once upon a time that was the best we could do for our men in clearing the LZ.

We DO know that, we have all experienced the attitude from illegal aliens in all 50 states by now.
What we DO NOT understand is why Bush League Republicans like Flimsey Grahamnesty and Micro Rubio keep trying to make them citizens after they broke in and broke more laws every day after breaking in.
We really have to start electing better Republicans.
The Mexicans did not “cave” on this issue, they had a “come to Jesus” moment in which the whole issue of illegal immigration, to which they had been turning a blind eye, was going to bite them in the Gluteus Maximus in a really big way, if they failed to act.
The point of the article was, by whatever straw they could grasp at, the media was throwing mud and pebbles at the Trump Administration. The straws were of just too little in quantity and value to rescue the media from themselves, and they are left floundering, their feeble attempts were proven futile.
When I was living in Houston, the business owners were very critical of the changes brought about by NAFTA.
