Hey Frankie, do you remember you calling those with large families as “breeding like rabbits”?
I do.
I lament modern marxists like Francis, the talking commie.
Do you remember Jesus telling you to forgive seventy times seven?
I do.
There’s no way any part of the church can progress towards a better execution of His will if that part heeds the catcalls of those who think it’s all about the church rather than all about God.
Forgiving is entirely different matter than a lack of trusting due to prior betrayal.
I don’t trust what he says now based on his past behavior/statements.
This is why God bequeathed us a book, the bible. It discerns between the true and the false.
Have you dusted it off anytime recently?
I mean it’s ridiculously obvious. Is the bus driver you have doing it wrong? Well, pull out the manual.
And if, by Jesus (literally meant) even Francis gets it right according to the bible...
For God’s sake (again literally meant) then give God glory, and don’t WORRY about what’s transpired in the past. Who is the Cornerstone? Is it Jesus?
Whacked? This turkey represents the majority of the inhabitants on this earth. God is in control, and He intends to get the credit, not a bunch of fake coreligionists that come in His name.
And it pains me as a Protestant to point this out, and yet I get joy in the Lord for noticing it. God has performed miracles through Francis. He hasn’t given the world nothing but problems.
Give glory to God and you will ascend past issues of “trusting humanity.” I don’t “trust humanity.” Anyone could err at any time. Whether it is you, or I, or Francis, or President Trump. I look at the Spirit, who never ever errs. And the Spirit’s story is bequeathed to us in the bible.
In fact, God will. Our choice is to whether to get into that game earlier or later.
God specializes in being glorified through bumbling and fumbling humanity. It is all the better to prove that the glory belongs to Him.
Are insults bad? You notice well. Now we need to quit insulting the Holy Spirit, and then blessings will fall from heaven like rain.
The bible records Jesus telling us “Whoever says to his brother ‘you fool’ will be liable to the fiery hell.”
I believe Jesus is talking about discipline here, not a permanent eternal fate. Hell can very well visit us on earth and be allowed to do so as a teaching punishment. Calling a brother ‘fool’ is a nasty sin but it isn’t an unforgivable sin. The brother can recover, but that is a terrible psychological arrow to have shot into his soul. In order to stop shooting such arrows, one must appreciate the worth of putting soul-saving mercy first when one could simply destroy. And undergoing such destruction for a season may be the only way that lesson will come across.
