This is a good thing. People with severe mental illnesses, that don’t allow them to function in our society, need to be fully under care of their families or else they need to be removed from public life for their own safety and hygiene and that of the public.

Freedom is not “free” for the incapacitated. They need to be kept secure and cared for in a decent place. We need tax dollars to care for our least fortunate brothers and sisters with mental incapacities. From mental illnesses to Alzheimer’s, we owe them all safe, happy places where they can try to find potential ways to reintegrate into society or if not, to be well cared for through their days.
