I was also 12 in ‘63 which was about the time I got interested in cars, and this Vette was the standard against which all others were compared.
My buddies and I could identify every car on the road coming or going, and to get one wrong subjected one to razzing and abuse. Now I can’t tell one from another and could care less.
We could not only identify what car but what engine it had.
Maybe not all cars but the common Fords, Chevys etc.
We are the same age and I recall the car identification
contests me and my buddies would have riding down the
road w/one or the other of our dads. Yah, we could
tell a ‘56 Buick from a ‘56 Chevy and so on. Thanks
for that nostalgic reminder even the razzing part.
