It’s a joke something I always bring up to Australians to see what their reaction is!
My personal encounter with it: A bunch of guys Aussie guys I used to play rugby with brought some to our after-game rugby party. The team we played for home-based in Annapolis Maryland. They dared their fellow drunk American teammates to eat it. You know with tales that its the Aussie equivalent of Popeye’s spinach. When you’re a 20-something single rugby playing guy anything is believable with enough brewskis. Anyway I remember the taste was vile even though the party was great! Fun memory!
I do the same thing with Scotts & haggis. Though I don’t have a personal haggis story! (Maybe I need one!)
Anyway welcome back to FR land! Feel free to correct us any time! Well me!...you can correct me!...the others? ...ehh!
I got a guy to take a bite of Marmite in England once. I thought he was going to spew. Felt a little bad, I had intended to stop him before he ate it.
